The Iowa Adventure Pass program is a collaborative statewide initiative with 70+ participating libraries to provide their cardholders with free or discounted access to local attractions, including museums, gardens, zoos, and more.

How It Works

Destinations Partner with Iowa Libraries

Iowa libraries collaborate with local Destinations to offer free or discounted admission through the Iowa Adventure Pass program. These partnerships are evolving to support long-term sustainability, shifting from library-funded memberships to more flexible, mutually beneficial offers.


Library Patrons Reserve Passes Online

Using the Iowa Adventure Pass website, library cardholders can search for available passes or discounts at participating Destinations. Reservations are made with their local library card and generate a unique ticket or coupon valid for a specific date.


Everyone Benefits from the Adventure

Patrons enjoy free or discounted access to a range of Iowa attractions, while Destinations benefit from increased visibility, diverse audiences, and the opportunity to connect with new visitors through local libraries.
